Call for New ESC Members
April 15, 2014
Harris Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) continuously seeks input from our customers to understand how we can serve them better.  Customer feedback comes to us in various ways including the Net Promoter Score program, support calls, Wish List requests, site visits and phone calls, and through interactions at the Harris Customer Training Conferences and regional user group meetings

Another key way we learn from our customers is the Executive Steering Committee (ESC).  The group is made up of Harris ERP Management Team and other staff, and most importantly a select group of customers. The ESC meets regularly to discuss the direction of the software, potential future product and service offerings, business practices, and industry trends. The guidance we receive from the customers on the ESC is invaluable in helping us understand how we can better serve all of our customers.

Membership on the ESC is by invitation.  Candidates must be passionate about wanting to help make Harris ERP better.  They must be willing to be honest and forthright in a constructive and professional manner, and let us know what we’re doing right and where we can improve.

ERP membership requires investment of time, travel, and financial expenditures.  Here are the key commitments ESC members make:
  • Serve a 24-month term, which may be extended by mutual agreement.
  • Attend the Spring and Fall in-person meetings.
    • All travel expenses are the customer’s responsibility.
    • All meals the day of the ESC meeting are provided by Harris ERP.
    • The Fall Meeting is the day before the annual Harris Customer Training Conference.  Attendance at the conference is also required.
  • Participate in the Summer and Winter remote meetings that are conducted via phone and the Web.
  • Participate in ad-hoc Email exchanges and phone / Web-based meetings on an as needed basis between the four formal meetings.
  • Advance preparation (homework) prior to meetings.
  • The total annual time commitment including travel, meetings, and homework is typically 10 days but can be as high as 15 days.
We are currently looking to fill positions on the committee.  The deadline for applications is May 16, 2014. Please contact David Cole to request an application, if you have questions, or if you are unable to apply to join the ESC at this time but would like to be put on the list of potential future candidates.
