Customer Success Story: Village of Glencoe, IL

The Village of Glencoe, IL went live on Innoprise Financials in October 2008 replacing a legacy system that had been in place since 1993. In February of 2011, the library began the process of preparing the Innoprise system to support their accounting requirements. The Village of Glencoe is an AAA rated community (by Standard & Poor's) located on Lake Michigan (north of Chicago) and provides a wide-range of services to a population of 8,762.

According to Dave Clark, Director of Finance for the Village, the library has its own elected board, but is considered part of the Village for the purposes of property taxes, legal filings, annual financial reporting, etc. The library reports as a component unit of the Village of Glencoe in their annual audit. To date, the library was using Peachtree financial software.

The Village has been exceptionally content with Innoprise Financials' solid accounting functionality and automated workflow features. The intuitive Web-based user interface offers easy transition for users along with unlimited user licenses prompting a financial software consolidation. "We are in the process of building a library entity on our financial system," said Clark. "The library will be able to access the Innoprise financial software and greatly improve their financial systems," added Clark.

"With all the talk about the cost of government and how to produce savings for tax payers, Innoprise is proving itself to be a very flexible tool that creates opportunities for meaningful consolidation of governmental services," explained Clark. "With Innoprise, the library is able to maintain their own business practices and chart of accounts," added Clark.

"This opportunity would not be possible without Innoprise," Clark concluded.
